Programme Overview

The investment banking industry in India has been growing rapidly, contributing to the country’s high GDP growth rates and creating opportunities in the sector. To understand the workings of this industry, a programme has been designed to examine its structure, management, and practices within the Indian context. It aims to contextualize and consolidate the learnings in advanced corporate finance that includes higher maths, economics, corporate valuation and mergers, acquisition, and corporate restructuring.

The IIM Kozhikode’s Investment Banking Programme is aimed at providing participants with the necessary theoretical and conceptual tools used by investment banks, enabling them to analyze the primary line of businesses of investment banks, appreciate the peculiarities and challenges of the industry, and develop an understanding of corporate finance, including higher maths, economics, corporate valuation, mergers, acquisition, and corporate restructuring. The programme is designed to be delivered online on weekends for 12 months and includes expert lectures by industry-experienced faculty from IIMs, case studies of successful and failed ideas, hands-on practicals, modeling, simulations, and projects. At the end of the programme, participants will have the skills and knowledge required to enter the investment banking industry with confidence.

Eligibility and Selection

Graduates (10+2+3) or Diploma Holders (only 10+2+3) from a recognized university (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government/recognised international universities) in any discipline.
The candidate should have a minimum of 03 years of work experience (after graduation).
Selection will be based on the profile of the candidate.

About IIM Kozhikode

Started in 1997 with its Post Graduate Programme (PGP), the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) is on a high growth trajectory today, offering the widest range of academic programs in the field of management education. As per IIM Kozhikode norms, all participants would be entitled to this reputable Executive Alumni Status. The Alumni fee will be decided by the Alumni office only and will be directly collected by IIMK. This will happen only when the applications for “Executive Alumni” will be approved by the competent authority, IIMK.
