Design Thinking challenges and Discover Phase In this session, you and your team will be provided with a few design challenges. From those, you will choose one that you will tackle by applying the design thinking process. Once you have chosen your design challenge, you will embark on your design thinking journey by learning how to explore the problem area. This requires empathising with the people we are designing for through small scale, in-depth qualitative research. You will learn the main techniques to maximize your ability to deeply connect and empathize with end-users, and to learn their pain points.
Fieldwork You are expected to conduct the design research required to explore your problem and understand it from the inside out, that is from the point of view of the people who are affected by the problem. This will entail conducting in context observations, in-depth interviews with users, as well as some desk research
