The MBA-BPGP at IIM Mumbai stands for Blended Post Graduate Programme in Management is a 2-year blended MBA that combines online learning with short, mandatory visits to the campus. • Educational qualification: A bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA. The requirement is 45% for candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories. The degree must be from a recognized university or institution in India, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Education.
• Work experience: A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in any business organization after graduation. For the current cycle, the cutoff date listed is 31st December 2025.
• Entrance exam score: A valid CAT, GMAT, or GRE score that is not older than five years. Candidates without a score can instead appear for the IMAT (IIM Mumbai Admission Test), which follows the CAT exam pattern and is conducted by IIM Mumbai.

The IIM Mumbai MBA admission process is simple and merit-based. It has five main steps:

1. Check eligibility: Confirm that your degree, marks, and work experience meet the requirements.
2. Submit your application: Fill out the online application form and pay the application fee of INR 2,500.  
3. Screening and shortlisting: Your profile and entrance exam score (CAT, GMAT, GRE, or IMAT) are reviewed, and eligible candidates are shortlisted.
4. Personal interview: Shortlisted candidates appear for an interview with the institute.
5. Admission and fee payment: Selected candidates receive offer letters and book their seat by paying the admission amount.

The selection may also consider individual and group assessments, assignments, presentations, and written examinations, depending on the stage of the process.

The Round 1 timeline for the batch starting in 2027 is as follows:

• Application start date: August 1, 2026
• Application closure date: November 15, 2026
• IMAT exam: November 22, 2026
• Personal interviews: From November 29, 2026
• Results and offer letters: December 8, 2026
• Last date of payment: December 21, 2026
• Program commencement: Mid-February 2027

Online classes are expected to begin on February 5, 2027, after an academic orientation on January 30, 2027. The annual plan is cheaper overall by INR 1 lakh, while the module-wise plan spreads the cost into smaller payments. Keep in mind that travel, lodging, and food for the campus immersions are not included in the fee and must be paid by participants.

The IIM Mumbai MBA curriculum is organized into 8 modules over two years. It includes 31 courses (16 core and 15 electives), a group project, and a capstone project. This mix gives participants a strong foundation first and room to specialize later. 

Year 1: Core Management Foundations

• Module I: Operations Management, Industrial Engineering for Productivity, Marketing Management, Financial Reporting and Accounting, and Managerial Communication
• Module II: Supply Chain Management, Microeconomics for Managers, Sustainable Development for Business, Business Research Methods, B2B Marketing, and Data Science
• Module III: Project Management, Organizational Behavior and HR, Optimization and Decision Techniques, Corporate Finance, and Systems Analysis and Management
• Module IV: Campus Immersion Program 1

Year 2: Electives, Projects, and Capstone

• Module V: Electives 1 to 5
• Module VI: Electives 6 to 9, one online elective, and Group Project Stage 1
• Module VII: Electives 10 to 12, two online electives, Group Project Stage 2, and the Capstone Project
• Module VIII: Campus Immersion Program 2 and Group Project Stage 3

Participants are also required to take online courses from globally reputed institutions as part of the online electives.     

As a blended MBA, the program has two parts. The online component includes self-reading material and live online classes. The campus component includes two one-week immersions at IIM Mumbai, planned for the second week of January 2028 and the first week of January 2029.

Campus attendance is mandatory, and participants must meet the prescribed attendance criteria. These visits give you face-to-face time with faculty, a taste of the academic environment, and a chance to build lasting relationships with your batchmates.   

By the end of the IIM Mumbai BPGP MBA, participants are expected to:
