If you've decidedIIT Delhi's Executive Programme in Brand Management is the right fit — or you're still deciding and need the actual details rather than marketing copy — this is the full breakdown: what you'll study, what it costs, who can apply, and how the certification actually works.
The programme is offered by IIT Delhi's Continuing Education Programme (CEP), the statutory body responsible for the institute's certificate courses, and delivered in partnership with Jaro Education. It's a six-month, fully live online programme built for working professionals who want formal training in brand strategy without stepping away from their job.

Eligibility is deliberately broad on the academic side and more specific on the professional side. Formally, you need a graduate degree (10+2+3 pattern) from a recognised university — UGC, AICTE, DEC, AIU, a state government body, or an internationally recognised equivalent — in any discipline. There’s no requirement that your degree be in marketing, management, or a related field.
Where it narrows is in who the programme is actually designed for. IIT Delhi and Jaro describe four target groups:
Early-to-mid-career professionals already working in branding, marketing communication, brand strategy, PR, or advertising agencies who want to deepen their expertise formally.
Digital marketing professionals looking to move into brand-focused roles.
Senior marketing leaders — heads and senior managers who want to understand the full branding and communication value chain rather than one narrow piece of it.
Founders and entrepreneurs who need to build and manage their own brand strategy, including PR and communications, without hiring that function out.
Final screening and selection is done by IIT Delhi itself, not by Jaro Education — so submitting an application isn’t the same as automatic admission.

Stakeholder Communication & Negotiation Skill Sets
The curriculum runs fifteen modules deep, followed by a capstone project. Here’s what each module actually covers:
Module 1: Introduction to Branding — The historical evolution of branding as a discipline, foundational concepts, and where the field is heading next.
Module 2: Brand Management Framework Components — How to read a brand through a structured framework, covering positioning and brand equity as inputs and outputs of brand strategy.
Module 3: Digital Brand Analytics and Performance Measurement — Using digital channels for brand building, the marketing tools behind them, and the metrics that actually indicate brand health — including brand ROI and customer lifetime value.
Module 4: AI in Modern Branding — This is the module that sets the curriculum apart from most competing programmes: generative AI for brand content and visual ideation, AI-driven brand monitoring, automation tools, and prompt engineering specifically for brand strategy work.
Module 5: Consumer Behavior and Marketing Warfare Strategies — Consumer behaviour and segmentation, plus competitive strategy frameworks for contested markets.
Module 6: Brand Communication — Visual merchandising, integrated marketing communication, PR strategy and stakeholder engagement, and experiential/event marketing.
Module 7: Branding Challenges — The common pitfalls and decision-points that derail brand-building efforts, and what sustains a brand past its early stage.
Module 8: Brand Innovation and New Product Development — How brands evolve across different stages of the product lifecycle.
Module 9: Strategic Brand Management — Branding strategy at a portfolio level, brand repositioning, and how to evaluate whether a brand’s current position is actually working.
Module 10: Luxury Brand Management — The specific strategies that govern how luxury brands build and protect perceived value.
Module 11: Global Branding — Building and managing brands across multiple markets, including global brand portfolio strategy.
Module 12: Brand Management Framework — Applying the framework introduced earlier to build a brand from the ground up.
Module 13: Brand Hierarchies and Portfolios — Classifying brands within a company’s portfolio and understanding how they relate to one another.
Module 14: Brand Associations — Deeper brand classification work, including the “brand molecule” concept.
Module 15: Brand Leadership and Organizational Culture — Building brand advocacy, sustaining growth, and aligning internal culture with external brand identity.
Capstone Project — A synthesis project applying the entire framework covered across the programme to a real brand-building scenario of your choosing.
Case studies throughout the programme are drawn from both Indian and global brand examples, and the teaching methods blend lectures, tutorials, panel discussions, and guest lectures alongside the core sessions.
What You'll Actually Walk Away With
By the end of the programme, the stated learning outcomes are: a solid grounding in core branding concepts and global trends; the ability to build brand equity strategically rather than intuitively; consumer segmentation and behavioural analysis skills; integrated communication planning across PR, campaigns, and experiential marketing; product innovation and lifecycle management specific to brands; luxury and global branding strategy; practical use of digital, social, andAI tools in brand work; and brand leadership skills for driving internal culture and external advocacy.
Admission Process
The application moves through five steps: confirming your eligibility, submitting your application, screening and shortlisting by IIT Delhi, admission and fee payment once selected, and finally securing your seat. Because screening is handled by the institute rather than being a formality, it’s worth treating the application itself — not just the fee payment — as the step that matters most.
Fee Structure and Payment Schedule
The total programme fee is ₹1,20,000 plus 18% GST, on top of a separate, non-refundable application fee of ₹1,000 plus GST. Payment splits into two instalments: the first, ₹80,000 plus GST, is due within three days of your offer letter; the second, ₹40,000 plus GST, follows on a fixed date tied to the cohort’s start (2 September 2026 for the current Batch 05 cohort). Fee payments go directly to the IIT Delhi CEP account, not to Jaro Education, and receipts are issued by IIT Delhi’s CEP accounts team through the CEP Portal. EMI/loan options are available through a third-party service Jaro Education facilitates, though IIT Delhi is not responsible for that financing arrangement.
If you need to withdraw, the refund policy is time-sensitive: withdrawing within 15 days of the programme start gets you 80% of your fee back (excluding tax already paid); withdrawing after that window forfeits the fee entirely. Withdrawal requests go to both IIT Delhi’s CEP accounts team and Jaro’s CRM support team by email, and refunds, where applicable, are processed within 30 working days.
There are two possible outcomes at the end of the programme, not one. If you complete the capstone project to standard and maintain at least 70% attendance, you receive a Certificate of Successful Completion. If you meet the attendance bar (50% or higher) but don’t complete the capstone to the required standard, you instead receive a Certificate of Participation — a meaningfully different credential. Only an e-certificate is issued, by CEP, IIT Delhi directly, and the format shown in promotional material is illustrative rather than final, since IIT Delhi can adjust it.
It’s also worth being clear-eyed about what this certification isn’t: since it’s a CEP programme rather than a full degree, you won’t receive an IIT Delhi institute email address, library access, or formal alumni status. What you do get is direct instruction from IIT Delhi faculty, a certificate bearing the institute’s name, and — per the programme’s own positioning — access to a broader executive-education alumni community of 350,000+ professionals through Jaro’s network.
What a Typical Week Looks Like
Because the entire programme is scheduled around a single weekly live session, it’s worth knowing what that actually commits you to before you apply. Sunday mornings, 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, are blocked for the live class itself — faculty-led, with room for real-time questions rather than a one-way lecture. Outside that window, the asynchronous components (recorded lectures, tutorials, and ongoing capstone work) are self-paced, but they’re not optional extras — they carry real weight toward both your understanding of each module and your final capstone submission. Realistically, budget for the two-hour Sunday session plus another two to four hours across the week for the asynchronous material, more in the weeks you’re actively working on the capstone. That’s a manageable load for most working professionals, but it’s not a passive “watch when convenient” course — treat the weekly cadence as a fixed commitment for the full six months, the same way you’d treat a recurring work meeting you can’t move.
Is This the Right Programme for You?
If you’re comparing this against other options — IIM Amritsar’s shorter, less expensive course, IIM Kashipur’s blended online-plus-campus format, or MICA’s more specialist, recorded-lecture-heavy programme — the full comparison is broken down here.
