Programme Overview
Project Management is a critical field for organizations worldwide, with a projected demand for 25 million new professionals by 2030, according to PMI’s 2021 report. The increasingly complex VUCA environment necessitates a shift to “Mission Mode” operations, driving the need for skilled professionals who can deliver projects on time, within budget, and with high-quality outcomes. Unfortunately, more than half of projects fail to meet these goals. In response to the growing demand for skilled project management professionals, IIM Mumbai offers Executive Certificate Programme in Advanced Project Management and Analytics. This programme addresses the pressing need for individuals who can successfully manage projects within time, cost, and quality constraints using advanced analytic techniques. With a distinguished faculty and extensive research and consulting experience in project management, IIM Mumbai aims to enhance project performance across industries and develop competency in this domain. This industry-focused programme provides executives with the prevailing knowledge, behavioral skills, processes, tools, and techniques necessary to excel in project management and meet the evolving demands of the VUCA environment.
Admission Criteria
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduates (10+2+3) or Diploma Holders (only 10+2+3) from a recognized university (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government/recognized international universities) in any discipline with a minimum of 3 years of work experience after graduation or diploma holder with at least 5 years of experience.
Admission Criteria
- Selections will be based on a detailed profile of the candidate in his own words elaborating on his academic record, profile, designation, salary, roles, responsibilities, job description, and a write-up on “Expectations from the Programme”.
- A short test might be conducted to test the aptitude of the participants.
Assessment Criteria
- The evaluation methodology will be at the discretion of the faculty.
- The methodology process may include online assessments, assignments, capstone project presentations, and proctored examinations, as applicable.
- Weightage:
- Continuous Assessment (60%) – Assignments, case studies, quizzes, and capstone project presentations
- Final Assessment (40%) – 1-hour examination
- Participants must secure the minimum passing marks of 60% in each evaluation component.

Earn a Career Certificate
Participants who successfully meet the evaluation criteria and fulfil the requisite attendance requirements will be awarded a ‘Certificate of Completion’ for the “Executive Certificate Programme in Advanced Project Management & Analytics”.
The certificate will be awarded by IIM Mumbai to successful participants, subject to fulfilling the following criteria:
- Securing a minimum pass marks (60%) in each of the evaluation components.
- Maintaining a minimum 75% attendance.
- Payment of all fees.
