Introduction

The Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Strategic Human Resource Management (e-SHRM) is designed to provide an understanding of the latest models and frameworks in strategic human resource management. It will help participants understand how to operationalize and strategically align different functional dimensions of HRM to organizational objectives. This programme will help participants acquire skills to develop successful HR strategies in alignment with business imperatives.



Overview

A 1 year Strategic Human Resource Management (e-SHRM) programme by IIM Trichy (Ranked among Top B-Schools in India) is designed with the intent of furthering the Executive Education mission of making quality management education accessible for all with convenience and affordability. This e-SHRM programme gives a clear understanding of all aspects of Strategic Human Resource Management via a blended learning approach which merges easy accessibility and campus connect - through an online mode of delivery and campus immersion modules (subject to conditions prevailing due to CoVID-19). It helps the participants gain a broader perspective of different functional dimensions of SHRM through its impactful modules spread across 12 months.

Programme Objective

  • Minimum 50% in Graduation from recognized national or international university
  • Minimum 45% in Graduation for SC/ST Applicants
  • Minimum 3 year of work experience

Pedagogy

This program will be offered in a hybrid mode with two in-campus modules and the rest delivered in a synchronous learning mode via a studio infrastructure. The two in-campus visits (subject to conditions prevailing due to CoVID-19) will be of 3 days each at the start and end of the program. The synchronous learning classes will be spread over 45 weeks with typically 3 hours of contact time per week. Pedagogy for this program will be a mix of Workshop, Case Study, Experiential learning through project and Lectures. Participants are required to read the various course materials (a mix of class lecture notes and pre-reads), assimilate and participate in the class discussions. The programme involves continuous evaluation through in-class and online components.
