The Post Graduate Certificate in Executive General Management Programme (e-GMP) is designed to provide understanding of business and enable Managers to make business decisions. Pedagogy

This programme will be offered in a hybrid mode with two in-campus modules and the rest delivered in a synchronous e-learning mode via a studio to classroom infrastructure. The two in-campus visits will be at the start and end of the programme. The campus immersions will include a variety of pedagogical techniques such as case discussions, simulation games, role plays, group projects, and other experiential exercises. The online sessions will be delivered through state-of-the-art interactive virtual classrooms and will facilitate learning through synchronous mode using multi-media components such as audio and video lessons which will involve case discussions and other practical learning techniques. Participants are required to read the various course materials (a mix of class lecture notes and pre-reads), assimilate and participate in the class discussions.

Prof. Sivakumar S.

Fellow (IIM Bangalore), PG Diploma in Software Enterprise Mgmt (IIM Bangalore), B.E. in Mechanical Engg (NIT Trichy)

Sivakumar S. is an Assistant Professor in OM&QT Area at IIM Tiruchirappalli. He brings a blend of outstanding academic and professional track record, high quality research publications, with rich consulting and industry experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from NIT Trichy, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Bangalore. He is a doctoral fellow of IIM Bangalore in the area of Production and Operations Management. He was the winner of SAP Labs merit scholarship during his doctoral program at IIM, Bangalore. He was also the winner of Director’s merit list (DML) award for his academic performance at both doctoral level and post-graduation level at IIM, Bangalore.

He has an industry work experience of 14 years with Wipro Technologies including 7 years of experience in Europe and USA. During his professional career he played diverse roles in solution design & consulting, delivery operations, project mgmt, account mgmt, mining sales, domain competency development, and corporate training. His consulting portfolio includes a large UK based technology firm, a global information services company, a leading UK based global financial services company, a leading US based global airlines company, several leading media & DTH companies. He has also consulted for an India based polypropylene bag manufacturer and a leading windmill manufacturing company. He has been recipient of the Best People Manager award, Best Project award, and Best Process Change award from the Chairman of Wipro.

Prof. Satish S. Maheswarappa

Ph.D. (IIT Madras), PGDM (IIM Ahmedabad), BVSC (Veterinary College, Bangalore)

Satish S. M. is Associate Professor of Marketing. He has doctoral degree in marketing from Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.

Before joining Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli, he worked at Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. Prior to joining academics, he worked for over a decade in the corporate in the domain of business development and marketing across pharma and IT sectors.

He analysis consumer decision making journey from pre-purchase online and offline information search behaviour, information processing, impact of advertising appeal and choice behaviour. Using this patterns of consumer behaviour and touch points to influence their choice can be identified. He also analysis the influence of consumer socialization among teens and young adults to analyze their electronic word of mouth and their social media behaviour.

His main research interests are in the area of online and offline information search behaviour, information processing, consumer choice, consumer socialization, anti-branding activities, and digital marketing. He has published in the Journal of Business Research, Marketing Intelligence and Planning, Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics, and other peer reviewed international journals.

He teaches marketing research, integrated marketing communication, pricing strategies and digital marketing.
