Dr Sanjay Salunkhe is a first-generation entrepreneur and has over three decades of experience in Edtech, HR and Banking in India and globally. He is recognized as one of the highly respected and influential veterans in the online education space in India.

Dr Salunkhe began his entrepreneurial journey in 1999 when he set up Net HR, an IT recruitment firm, which features among the top 10, IT Recruitment companies in India.

After the success of Net HR, in 2009, he started Jaro Education, an Online Higher Education and upskilling venture. Jaro Education provides marketing, technology and infrastructure support to IITs, IIMs and leading NIRF-ranked universities and institutes offering management and technology programs. The company’s main aim is to nurture entrepreneurs, and professionals from entry-level to C-Suite across industries by providing them with required upskilling programs that help them to grow up the corporate ladder. His vision from the inception of Jaro Education was to be the market leader in the Online Higher Education industry through its outstanding performance and offerings to corporate professionals.

After the success of Jaro Education, in 2016, Dr Salunkhe, acquired a Non-Banking Finance Company, intending to support women entrepreneurs. Till now, Jaro Fincap has financed 35,000 women entrepreneurs.

In 2018, Dr Salunkhe incorporated “Jaro Toppscholars”, to provide personalized quality learning for students across India in the K-12 Segment. Toppscholars provides learning for CBSE, ICSE, & other state board students. Its platform supports students to Learn, Practice and Revise their subjects and equips them for achieving excellence in the examination. Toppscholars enable learning for English, Marathi, and Hindi medium students.

Dr Salunkhe holds a doctorate in ‘Change Management and its Impact on Achieving Business Results’. He has done his MBA and LLB from the University of Mumbai. For his significant contribution to the education industry, Dr Salunkhe has been honoured with numerous awards. He was recently felicitated with the ‘Education Evangelists of India award by ‘Great Place to Study’.

Dr Salunkhe was appreciated for being among the top 100 Most Trusted CEOs in India. He is also a recipient of the “Business Leader of The Year Award” at the World Leadership Congress.
